Road to National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships Begins Here
Start circling the dates on your calendar for the 2025 USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships. The event location is currently being finalized and we anticipate making an official announcement in the next week or two. Set for July 21-27, 2025, the venue is considered one of the top facilities for track & field.
New this year is the addition of the Mixed Gender Relays in the 4x100, 4x400 and 4x800 for the 15-16 and 17-18 age divisions. Qualifying for the national championships consists of three levels: Association, Regional and National. Eligible participants must be 18 years old and younger, and a current USATF member. The age divisions for athletes to participate consist of six two-year increments.
USATF Montana Association Track & Field Championships
This year’s Montana Association championships will be held on June 20-21, 2025, in Bozeman, MT at Gallatin High School Stadium. The event will be hosted by the Bozeman Track Club. All participants in the Association track meet automatically qualify to advance to the Region 11 Junior Olympic championships.
USATF Region 11 Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships
USATF Region 11 consists of athletes from Snake River (Southern Idaho), Montana, Utah and Wyoming. The track meet will be held in Provo, UT on July 10-12, 2025 at the Bringham Young University track & field outdoor venue. The nationally acclaimed Clarence F. Robison Track is the home of the BYU men's and women's track teams. Coaches and athletes rate BYU's outdoor track as one of the finest in the nation. Its compact design allows spectators to view both running and field competitions at the same venue.
The top five athletes in the track and field individual events and top five relay teams advance to the National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships. The top two participants in the combined events may advance to the National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships and any others may advance if their scoring marks meet the Combined Event Standards.
